How much does a website cost for a small business?

With us, £149 for a one-page site, £299 for a 3-page site, £499 for a full 5-page site with gallery and reviews. One-off prices, on the pricing page for all to see. Bigger jobs are quoted per job from £800. You pay once and own it outright.

How long does a website take to build?

A one-page site is live within 7 days of you sending your content. A small site takes about two weeks, a full site about three. The clock starts when we have your details and photos, and we'll help you pull those together.

Does my business really need a website?

If you want to be found, yes. Most people now search Google before they call anyone, even when a friend recommended you. No website means they can't check you're real, so they call whoever they can find. It works alongside word of mouth, not instead of it.

I'm not good with technology. Is that a problem?

Not at all. Most of our customers aren't, and they never need to be. You talk about your business, we do every technical bit, and anything you need to know, we explain it the way a friend would.

Will I own my website?

Yes, completely. Your domain is registered in your name, your site lives in accounts created for you, and the files are yours. If you ever want to move on, everything goes with you at no cost. No lock-in is a promise, not a slogan.

Are there monthly fees?

Not to us. The build is a one-off price. Hosting sits in your own account with a major provider and currently costs nothing for a site this size. We won't pretend to control their prices forever, but because you own everything, if that ever changed you could host your site anywhere, usually a few pounds a month at worst. Your domain is about £10 a year. If you'd like us to look after things, the care plan is £150 a year, but the site runs fine without it.

Will my website show up on Google?

Over time, yes. Every site is built so Google understands what you do and where you work, and we set up your Google Business Profile properly with the bigger packages. What we won't do is promise you page one. Nobody can honestly promise that, and anyone who does is selling something.

Do I need to write the words myself?

No. Tell us about your business the way you'd tell a customer, rough notes and bullet points are fine, and we'll turn that into the words on the site.

Can you improve my existing website?

Often, yes. If it's worth keeping we'll say so. If starting fresh would be cheaper and better, we'll say that too, and with prices from £149 starting fresh is usually less than you'd expect.

What happens after my site goes live?

Anything you spot in the first 30 days gets fixed free. After that you can look after it yourself, ask us for one-off changes at £40 to £60 a time, or take the care plan and we'll handle everything, including a monthly email showing who found you and who got in touch.

Where are you based?

London. Most of the work happens over email though, so it doesn't matter where you are.
